Undress Runways, the organisation behind Australia’s largest sustainable fashion show have announced they are bringing their national show to the Gold Coast in 2014 as part of the Surfers Paradise festival.
The show will take place on the transformed rooftop of the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre on Saturday 26th of April, and will feature a range of sustainable and ethical designers from all over the country in both a runway show and twilight market.
Undress Runways’ event coordinator, Edda Hamar, says the Undress team are excited to bring their infamous show to the Gold Coast after 3 years of successful shows in both Brisbane and Melbourne.
“We’re so happy we’re finally able to bring our show to the Gold Coast. There are a number of fantastic local designers that we’re excited to present on the runway alongside some of the more well-known Australian sustainable labels,” said Ms Hamar.
“We can see that the sustainable fashion community is growing on the Gold Coast – each year we have a large number of locals travelling up to our Brisbane show… We hope that we can bring something fresh, entertaining and educational to the Gold Coast fashion scene.”
The 2014 Surfers Paradise Festival will take place throughout the month of April, and will play host to a variety of events all over town.
The 2014 Undress Gold Coast show is proudly sponsored by Ethical Clothing Australia. For more information on the event, designer application forms and a behind-the-scenes look at the 2013 Undress Brisbane and Melbourne runway shows, head to www.undressrunways.com
